DESCRIPTION:Delighted to promote this young photographer presenting his work in Paris.  \n\n\n\nMax Kennedy\, born in 1992 is based in London and son of the writer Douglas Kennedy. He graduated from the Fine Arts College of America\, Ringling College\, in Florida. He then completed the postgraduate programme at Goldsmiths University in London. \n\n\n\nHis work has appeared in publications as diverse as Le Figaro Magazine and Le Journal du Dimanche. Passionate about all forms of cultural activity\, he has worked for the London Symphony Orchestra and several arts groups. He is also an accomplished portrait photographer. \n\n\n\nBut one of his main interests is what he calls ‘the street view’: capturing the complexities and contradictions of contemporary life. \n\n\n\nCome and see this exhibition\, ‘The Moment’\, which examines individuals in contemporary urban environments: London\, Paris\, Berlin. \n\n\n\nSpeaking about his case\, Max notes ‘Autism can be a lonely place’ ‘As such\, I am fascinated by (and empathise with) the loneliness of individuals in a metropolitan landscape. There’s so much going on at any given time in a city…\, with the expectation of constant professional and personal connection. But in the midst of all this activity and bustle\, there’s also a lot of disconnection and loneliness’.

Deeply defined by her Libyan roots\, singer-songwriter Farah Elle will share with us her very own songs for piano as well as intimate selections from her debut album\, Fatima (2022). Her music enchantingly weaves together pop\, touches of R’n’B and jazz and Middle Eastern music. And\, Stephen James Smith will recite his critically acclaimed poems including some written during his stay in Paris.

SUMMARY:Celtic Nua Musical Weekend in Peyriac de Mer
DESCRIPTION:CELTIC NUA  is delighted to announce an important upcoming Irish event to be hosted in the pictureque village of Peyriac de Mer. Lots of festivities\, music sessions and singing to be enjoyed by all.  \n\n\n\n2024 opened an exciting new chapter for Celtic Nua as it opened the official Branch of Comahltas in Occiatnie\, South of France. Many musicians and attendees travelled over from Ireland\, including the President of Comahltas\, Attracta Brady\, the Head of Comhaltas Diaspora Brendan McAleer. Kevin McGreevy the Irish Consulate in Toulouse\, Embassy staff from Paris and Shauna Kelly-Lefevre\, founder of Mna na hEireann\, all joined this important cultural and musical ceremony.

She recently made her mark on the traditional music scene with her debut album\, “Faoi Lán Ceoil”\, released in March 2024. Her style is characterized by exceptional technical mastery and an ability to infuse each track with a lively energy\, combining limpid melodies with bold variations. \n\n\n\nMicky Fearon\, singer and guitarist from County Armagh\, Ireland\, grew up in a family deeply rooted in traditional Irish music. He invites you to discover the techniques of accompanying on guitar or bouzouki\, inspired by traditional songs from Micky’s native region. \n\n\n\nSinéad and Micky will each lead a parallel masterclass lasting a total of 3 hours\, divided into two 90-minute workshops with a break in between. Designed for intermediate to advanced melodists\, and are open to all instruments.
