January 17 @ 7:00 pm – March 15 @ 7:00 pm
Francis Huster, a renowned and wonderful French actor, is now playing at the Théâtre Antoine in a deeply moving and unsetteling role – that of a therapist at the edge of the abyss, carried away by his patients and his own life.
While he tries to avoid his patients drowning, his own life is on the verge of falling apart. Each session becomes a mirror of his own flaws, regrets and his humanity, while at the same time his patients desperately await his help.
Adapted from the cult series BeTipul, In Therapy explores the hidden face of those who confide. Tête-à-tête, arm-wrestling, because the material is human and fragile and life’s accidents exacerbate passions that were thought to be forbidden in a therapist’s hushed office.
An intense “huis clos”, carried by a finely written script and a tense “mise en scene” , where the intimate becomes universal.
Shows from Wednesday through to Sunday
