Maisy Mc Loughlin was a talented & creative seamstress, born in The Liberties in Dublin Ireland in 1913, the year of the Dublin lock-out. She worked hard, with a large family & many hours of sewing duties, and so, each night, she would reward herself with a dram of Grand Irish Whiskey, savoured gently in contemplation by candlelight.
Maisy McLoughlin’s Irish Whiskey Marmalade is made with Seville oranges. A rich, robust and deeply aromatic preserve that balances the intense bitterness of citrus with the smooth, warming undertones of Maisy’s blended Irish whiskey. A staple of the traditional Irish breakfast table and beyond.
Produced in Cavan. Unlike mass-produced preserves, our small-batch marmalade is a showcase for regional Irish produce, with a premium, elegant appearance and a lovely, distinctive finish. Blended with our traditional Irish whiskey, it makes for a truly deluxe, high-end flavour.
Appearance & Texture
Colour: a stunning, translucent deep amber to burnt-orange hue.
Texture: a thick, glossy set, achieved naturally through the high pectin content found in Seville orange pips and pith.
The peel: generous, suspended ribbons of orange peel.
