The three performers from Compagnie Mamaille decided to adapt Charles Dickens’ English social novel for the stage. It’s the story of a poor child who, from one day to the next, is plunged into the world of the rich. Using masks and originally devised props, Augustine, Hélène and June enthusiastically and light-heartedly adapt the book for the stage, without erasing its social mechanics or the indecency of its inequalities – quite the contrary. Lively, intelligent theater for the whole family, with a touch of burlesque and absurd humor!
