Do you have a saying or a quote that you use over and over?
An expression which can help galvanise, give hope, advise you on how to start your day or even make you laugh?
I can easily think of a good handful that were used in our family or social circle when I was growing up and that I have carried with me throughout my life. 
Most of the expressions mentioned in this collection are well known or in common usage and represent a sort of oral history handed down from one generation to the next. Pocket-sized tools to carry with you throughout life. 
With the help of several Mnà contributors, this collection attempts to capture that oral history. Each contributor explains the expression with some background and what it has meant to them. 
We often see quotes from famous people. I like the fact that in this collection, we celebrate family members or people who, whilst not necessarily well known, passed on some wisdom or a way of understanding and navigating our complicated world.
